Matthew Ross is a Husband, Father, Minister, Community Organizer/Activist, Mentor, Wrestling Coach and Self-Proclaimed Philosopher from the South Side of Chicago. He holds degrees in Strength & Conditioning, History, and English.
 
Matthew is a non-conformist who believes that freedom is a God Given Mandate that has been compromised by capitalism & convenience, in order to conform society to a system of bondage.

It will take a "Renewing of the Mind" to transform our society's ideology to one that manifests a Life of Liberty conducive for the Pursuit of Happiness.

​MISSION OF BLACKHAVEN

In order to discover and document Alternative Solutions to Urban Oppression, for both myself, family, and other inhabitants of urban America, I will be leaving the big city of Chicago, to purchase 40 ACRES, NOTHING LESS!!!

This journey aims to:

• ​​Purchase large Acreage in order to create a homestead.
• Prepare myself with the skills to live a more self-sustainable, healthy and stress-free lifestyle.
• Present options, specifically to oppressed urban dwellers.
• ​Probe the historical significance of land ownership in culture and heritage.
